Midwest Cleaning LLC
Terms of Service
Last Updated: May 27, 2026
Thank you for choosing Midwest Cleaning LLC. These Terms of Service explain our policies for residential, move-in, move-out, deep cleaning, standard cleaning, recurring cleaning, and other cleaning services provided by Midwest Cleaning LLC.
By booking, scheduling, paying for, or receiving services from Midwest Cleaning LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Midwest Cleaning LLC may be referred to as 'we,' 'us,' 'our,' or 'the Company.' The customer may be referred to as 'you,' 'your,' or 'the Client.'
1. Cleaning Services
Midwest Cleaning LLC provides professional residential and light commercial cleaning services in Wisconsin, including standard house cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in cleaning, move-out cleaning, recurring cleaning, apartment cleaning, and approved add-on cleaning services.
When booking service, you agree to provide accurate information about the property, including square footage, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, property condition, access instructions, requested services, and any special circumstances that may affect the cleaning.
Pricing is based on the information provided at the time of booking. If the property condition, size, or scope of work is different from what was submitted, Midwest Cleaning LLC reserves the right to adjust pricing, request approval for additional charges, reduce the scope of work, or decline service.
2. Estimates and Pricing
Online, phone, or text estimates are based on the information provided by the Client. Final pricing may change if the home is larger than stated, the number of rooms or bathrooms is incorrect, the home is in heavier condition than expected, excessive clutter prevents normal cleaning, additional services are requested, or pet hair, buildup, grease, grime, soap scum, hard water, or trash removal requires additional labor.
Move-out cleans, deep cleans, and first-time cleans may require more time than maintenance cleaning and are priced accordingly.
3. Scheduling and Arrival Window
Midwest Cleaning LLC provides an estimated arrival window for scheduled cleanings. Because cleaners may be delayed by traffic, weather, prior jobs, property access issues, or unexpected cleaning conditions, arrival times are not guaranteed exact appointment times.
Unless otherwise agreed, customers should allow a 1-2 hour arrival window. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if there is a significant delay.
4. Access to the Property
The Client is responsible for making sure Midwest Cleaning LLC can access the property at the scheduled time. Acceptable access methods may include someone present at the property, door code, lockbox, garage code, key access, or written access instructions.
If our cleaner cannot access the property, is turned away, or is unable to enter due to incorrect access instructions, a lockout or cancellation fee may apply.
5. Lockout Fee
If Midwest Cleaning LLC arrives for a scheduled cleaning and cannot access the property, the Client may be charged a $50 lockout fee.
This includes, but is not limited to: no one is home, door code does not work, key is unavailable, gate access is not provided, cleaner is denied entry, customer cancels upon arrival, utilities are not on, or the property is unsafe to enter.
This fee helps cover lost cleaner time, travel, scheduling disruption, and lost appointment availability.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand schedules change. However, cleaners depend on scheduled appointments, and last-minute cancellations create lost income and lost booking opportunities.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide at least 24 hours notice before canceling or rescheduling your appointment.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may result in a $50 cancellation fee. Repeated cancellations or reschedules may result in service being discontinued.
7. Payment Policy
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Midwest Cleaning LLC may require a card on file to book service. By booking service, you authorize Midwest Cleaning LLC to charge your card for completed cleaning services, approved add-ons, cancellation fees, lockout fees, approved price adjustments, and unpaid balances.
For recurring services, you authorize Midwest Cleaning LLC to charge your card after each scheduled cleaning. Failure to pay may result in cancellation of future service, collection efforts, late fees, and/or recovery of reasonable costs permitted by law.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee and Re-Clean Policy
Midwest Cleaning LLC wants every customer to be happy with their cleaning. If you are not satisfied with an area that was included in the agreed cleaning scope, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion.
Our first resolution will be to offer a re-clean of the missed or unsatisfactory area at no additional charge.
To qualify for a free re-clean: the issue must be reported within 24 hours, the area must have been included in the original service scope, photos may be requested, the customer must allow Midwest Cleaning LLC the opportunity to inspect or correct the issue, the property must be in substantially the same condition as when the cleaner left, and the issue must not be caused by new mess, other contractors, occupants, pets, movers, or activity after the cleaning.
A re-clean is intended to correct missed items, not to add new services or expand the original scope of work.
9. Refund Policy
Because cleaning is a labor-based service, Midwest Cleaning LLC does not automatically issue refunds for completed work.
If a customer is unhappy with service, Midwest Cleaning LLC must be given the opportunity to correct the issue through a re-clean before any refund is considered.
Refunds are an absolute last resort and are issued only at the sole discretion of Midwest Cleaning LLC.
Refunds may not be provided for issues not reported within 24 hours, areas not included in the original cleaning scope, homes with excessive clutter or blocked access, permanent stains, wear, damage, hard water buildup, mold, rust, discoloration, expectations beyond the booked service level, re-soiling after the cleaner leaves, customer refusal to allow a re-clean, or services already completed as agreed.
10. Scope of Work
Cleaning services are limited to the service selected at booking and any approved add-ons.
Standard cleaning, deep cleaning, and move-out cleaning are different service levels. A standard cleaning does not include all deep cleaning or move-out cleaning tasks unless specifically added and approved.
Midwest Cleaning LLC may use a checklist as a general guide, but service results depend on property condition, time available, access, buildup, clutter, and safety limitations.
11. What We Do Not Clean
For safety, liability, and health reasons, Midwest Cleaning LLC does not clean or remove mold, blood, feces, urine, vomit, hoarding conditions, hazardous materials, pest infestations, needles or drug paraphernalia, animal waste, cat litter boxes, biohazards, fire damage, heavy construction debris, or human or animal bodily fluids.
We may refuse or stop service if the property is unsafe, unsanitary beyond normal residential cleaning, or materially different from what was disclosed at booking.
12. Right to Refuse or Stop Service
Midwest Cleaning LLC reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or stop service at any time if the property is unsafe, the home has extreme clutter, utilities are disconnected, there are aggressive pets, weapons are unsecured, there is harassment, threats, or inappropriate behavior, conditions are materially different than disclosed, the job requires hazardous cleaning, the customer requests work outside our normal scope, or the cleaner feels unsafe or uncomfortable.
If service is stopped due to unsafe conditions, a cancellation fee or partial service charge may apply.
13. Pets
Please secure all pets before the cleaner arrives. Midwest Cleaning LLC is not responsible for pets escaping, becoming stressed, or interfering with service if they are not secured.
If a pet is aggressive or prevents safe cleaning, we may stop service and a cancellation fee may apply.
14. Utilities
The Client is responsible for ensuring the property has working electricity, running water, heat or air conditioning when reasonably necessary, safe lighting, and functional plumbing.
If utilities are disconnected or unavailable, Midwest Cleaning LLC may be unable to complete service and a cancellation fee may apply.
15. Customer Supplies and Equipment
Midwest Cleaning LLC normally provides cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise agreed.
If the Client requests that we use the Client’s supplies, products, vacuum, mop, towels, or equipment, Midwest Cleaning LLC is not responsible for damage caused by those supplies or equipment.
If customer-provided equipment does not work properly, Midwest Cleaning LLC may be unable to complete certain tasks.
16. Inaccessible Areas and Heavy Items
For safety and liability reasons, cleaners are not required to climb higher than a step stool, move heavy furniture, move appliances, lift items over 35 pounds, clean areas blocked by clutter, clean exterior windows, work outside the home unless approved, or clean areas that cannot be safely reached.
If you want cleaning behind or under large items, those items must be moved before our arrival.
17. Damage, Breakage, and Loss
Midwest Cleaning LLC takes reasonable care while cleaning. However, accidents can happen.
Any damage, breakage, or missing item must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
Midwest Cleaning LLC is not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, loose fixtures, improperly installed items, fragile items not disclosed before service, items placed in unstable locations, artwork, collectibles, antiques, heirlooms, or valuables not secured before cleaning, or damage caused by customer-provided products or equipment.
The Client is responsible for securing fragile, valuable, sentimental, or irreplaceable items before service.
18. Before and After Photos
Midwest Cleaning LLC may take before and after photos for quality control, cleaner documentation, training, and proof of service.
We will not intentionally photograph private documents, personal information, or sensitive materials.
Photos may be used for marketing only when they do not identify the customer, address, private information, or sensitive personal details, unless the customer gives permission.
19. Recurring Cleaning
Recurring cleaning may be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly, or on another approved schedule.
Recurring discounts are based on continued service. If recurring service is canceled after receiving a first-clean or recurring discount, Midwest Cleaning LLC reserves the right to adjust future pricing or remove discounts.
Recurring cleaning does not include deep cleaning tasks unless included in the selected plan or added separately.
20. Non-Solicitation of Cleaners
Clients agree not to directly hire, solicit, recruit, or privately contract with any cleaner, contractor, employee, subcontractor, or representative introduced through Midwest Cleaning LLC.
This applies during service and for 12 months after the last service date.
If a Client directly hires or attempts to directly hire a Midwest Cleaning LLC cleaner outside the Company, Midwest Cleaning LLC may charge a placement or referral fee of $2,500, where permitted by law.
This protects the Company’s investment in recruiting, screening, scheduling, training, and managing cleaners.
21. Independent Cleaners and Service Providers
Midwest Cleaning LLC may use employees, independent contractors, subcontractors, or third-party service providers to perform cleaning services.
All cleaners are expected to follow Midwest Cleaning LLC service standards, safety expectations, and customer service policies.
22. Changes to Terms
Midwest Cleaning LLC may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms may be posted on our website and will apply to future bookings.
Continued use of our services after terms are updated means you accept the updated terms.
23. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections will remain in effect.
